Mental Performance Sports Programs

If you want to take your game to the next level or improve your team’s performance, Coach A has developed a comprehensive mental game coaching program which will give you the mental edge in competition and life.

Marc D. Anderson, LCSW, MGCP uses his clinical and coaching expertise and personal experiences as a competitive athlete to teach athletes and coaches how to develop the mental skills to improve confidence, enhance focus, composure, concentration, and mental toughness to achieve the winning edge. The program focuses on improving the athlete’s sports related thought processes to overcome self-limiting emotional and physical barriers to acquire a champion’s mindset towards peak performance.

Coach A offers several mental coaching programs. Programs consist of one on one in-person mental programs, monthly phone coaching programs, and email coaching programs for athletes who participate who are interested in the 12- Month Mental Coaching Program. Coach A guides you via email to improve mental toughness.

The objectives of the Mental Performance Sports Programs are to help you:

  1. Develop mental strategies and pre-game routines to enter the zone faster
  2. Uncover mental blocks that hinder peak performance and how to overcome them
  3. Improve your confidence and focus and overall performance
  4. Master the strategies to enhance teamwork and maximize your mental edge
  5. Develop the mental toughness skills to reach your peak performance goals.

Three, Six, and 12-Month Mental Coaching

The one on one in-person mental coaching program is the best option to enhance your mental game edge in competition. The program begins with a one on one mental coaching session with Coach A, followed by three, six, or 12 months of follow up (in person and/or via telephone). This program includes:

  1. Initial one on one mental coaching session with Coach A to begin the program
  2. Athlete Mental Aptitude Profile (AMAP) Assessment
  3. AMAP Summary identifying mental skills areas to target for improvement
  4. Custom Mental Game Plans
  5. Weekly 40 minute individual coaching sessions.
  6. Mental training handouts & summaries
  7. Athlete Observations & Feedback *

The Monthly Phone Coaching for Athletes

This a popular option for busy athletes who have time constraints of being a student-athlete to attend weekly coaching sessions in the office. Coach A meets with you over the telephone for four 40-minute coaching sessions a month to enhance the athlete's mental toughness skills. Monthly Phone Coaching Includes:

  2. AMAP Summary identifying mental skills areas to target for improvement
  3. Custom Mental Game Plans
  4. Weekly 40 minute individual coaching sessions via phone

For internet savvy athletes, Coach A offers an email coaching program as a premium for athletes who participate in the 12-Month Mental Coaching Program. Coach A guides you via email to improved mental toughness. This program includes:
